- HORMONE life FAQs
What tools are there to better predict fertility?
The HORMONE life app when used with various hormone tests including ovulation (LH / Luteinizing Hormone), FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and PdG (Pregnanediol Glucuronide, a major progesterone metabolite) uses data driven predictions to enhance the accuracy of ovulation prediction.
With cycle tracking the app also supports fertility progression including perimenopause, menopause and post menopause.
Do I need access to the internet to use the HORMONE life app?
Ideally, yes because this is a cloud-based app. If you’re not on Wi-Fi, the app may use your mobile data but the connection may be slower than if you were on Wi-Fi.
How Do LH and PdG levels help predict the ovulation window?
Here’s how these biomarkers contribute:
How does the FSH test work?
FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) is a key reproductive hormone produced by the pituitary gland. In women, it stimulates ovarian follicles to grow and mature, ultimately leading to ovulation. In men, it supports sperm production by acting on the testes. Balanced FSH levels are crucial for normal fertility and overall reproductive health.
The HORMONE life Ultra Accurate FSH Test Strip helps women determine their fertility stage (pre/post menopause), a key indicator for women attempting to conceive.
How can the HORMONE life App predict ovulation information from Basal Body Temperature (BBT)?
The app uses Basal Body Temperature (BBT) to analyze and predict ovulation by identifying patterns in temperature data.
How is Basal Body Temperature (BBT) recorded in the HORMONE life App?
In the HORMONE life App calendar, select a date, scroll down below the calendar, select Body Temperature and enter your data
How is the hCG test used?
The HORMONE life Pregnancy Test Strip detects the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin hormone (hCG), which appears in urine very early during pregnancy.
The test involves a simple urine dip test and results are available in just 5 minutes.
How is the LH test used?
The HORMONE life Ovulation / Ultra Accurate Ovulation Tests detect the presence of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) which causes the ovaries to release eggs and produce hormones that prepare the uterus for a fertilized egg. LH levels fluctuate throughout the menstrual cycle, and a surge in LH usually indicates ovulation is about to occur.
Both tests include a simple urine dip test and results are available in just 5 minutes.
The Ultra Accurate test is more sensitive and therefore more accurately predicts ovulation.
Where can I find out how to use the App?
